Someone in Delhi

Filed under: Personal — by chinabhai @ 2:16 am

I’m stuck in Delhi for at least 2 years. I hate this place but my new job requires me to be here. I don’t know anyone here. Everyone I knew from high school has left India for Haiti. Hmm, I’m confused — is it Haiti or some place called America? Anyway,

I want to meet people here before I go absolutely nuts. (“Utter plaintive cry”. “Ok — ahhhh!” “Was that good?” “Yeah, pretty good.” “Thanks, your turn now.”) I mean, mom and dad are great but I don’t want to be with someone who tells me to tuck-in my shirt regardless of the subject of the conversation.

Look, don’t write to me if you’re a tool. Call me presumptuous but I don’t want to meet people who are just doing a job because it gets them good money, or those who like to drop names or those who take themselves and life too seriously. Write me if you’re a non-conformist, a struggling entrepreneur in any field, a successful entrepreneur in any field, if you have an interest in books, tennis and like a great jog in Lodi Gardens.

If you’re a girl that is all of the above, awesome, write to me and we’ll go out on a date. If you’re a hot babe, I don’t care what you are, write to me and we’ll go out on a date — it could be just once, but hey, what’s to lose? (I know that’s a cliche but a man’s got to make concessions for babes.)

Nb: if you like discussing ideas and doing something to execute them, that’s especially great. Definitely write me then.

Hello

Gosh, do I have the time for this?

I just signed up for this blog with the somewhat naive hope that it’ll kickstart my writing habit which I seem to have lost sometime over these last couple of years. You know, in the same way that people sign up for expensive gym memberships thinking that the guilt of paying all that money will goad them into exercising more frequently. Does it work? The jury’s still out. Wish me luck! Otherwise, thanks for visiting.

Hey ma, where’s my dinner?
